As a result of their spherical structure, lyobeads – also known as lyophilised beads – offer a range of advantages as a lyophilised product format, including improved shelf-life and stability. To gain these benefits, companies in the diagnostics and biochemical industries are increasingly using lyobead generation for their reagents, enzymes and other biological materials. However, many of these are still developing lyobeads through manual pipetting processes, which are highly time intensive and often less precise.

Precise, high-volume production: Generate up to 7,200 beads per hour, while ensuring accurate lyobead shape and volume – with a volume precision of 0.10% and a dispensing error rate of less than 3% CV.
A flexible solution: LyobeadPro™ can support product sizes ranging from 5µl to 50µl. It can also accommodate single or dual nozzle operation and has easy to fit dispensing nozzles.
Simple lyobead generation: Simplicity is at the core of the device’s design. It’s easy to read controller provides a clear count of bead numbers, and an in-built priming facility allows for simple interchange from product to product.
Seamless integration: LyobeadPro™’s modular, benchtop design enables it to be implemented easily into any facility configuration. It can also be operated inside or outside of a nitrogen-controlled environment.
Controlled lyobead manufacturing: The rotation of the device’s segmented LN2 dewar is carefully controlled to avoid clustering of droplets during snap freezing. The safe collection of lyobeads is then enabled by its built-in sieve container.
