Shimadzu GCMS-TQ8050 NX is equipped with a new, highly efficient detector and three forms of noise-reduction technologies, enabling unprecedented trace analysis, down to femtogram levels. A whole new realm of quantitative analysis is possible, thanks to its ultra-high sensitivity, high mass resolution, ultra-fast technology.  New turbo molecular pump with higher evacuation efficiency offers a stable vacuum system and the new flow controller along with advanced GC oven achieves exceptional reproducibility. Unique Twin Line MS System offers Dual Column Single MS capability for seamless switching of applications without venting MS. The high-accuracy mass filter with pre-rods and patented electric field control technology achieves high-accuracy mass separation performance. The rotary pump can be replaced with an oil-free pump, which requires no maintenance for three years.  Easy sTop Function and presence of ClickTekTM helps in maintenance of sample injection port without releasing the vacuum thus drastically reducing the down time.

GCMS-TQ8050 NX supports both chemical ionization (CI) and negative chemical ionization (NCI) in addition to commonly used electron ionization (EI). It supports wide variety of additional accessories for varied analysis such as the AOC-6000 multifunctional autosampler system (liquid sample injection, headspace (HS) injection, and solid phase microextraction (SPME) injection), HS-20 Headspace analysis system (Loop and Trap), OPTIC-4 Multimode Sample Inlet System and TD-30 Thermal Desorption System.

The ‘MRM Optimization Tool’ automates the process by collecting product ion scan data and finding the optimum collision energy for each transition. Once established, the transitions are registered to one of the Shimadzu ‘Smart Database’ files and the MRM or Scan/MRM methods are created using Smart MRM.

Smart MRM Spincotech

Method creation can be proceeded without calculating the retention time by analyzing the standard samples when using the Automatic Adjustment Retention Time (AART) function. In addition to MRM information, Scan and SIM ion information, mass spectra and calibration curve information from the internal standard method can also be registered in the database file.
