SEDEX 85LT Low-Temperature Evaporative Light Scattering Detector for HPLC

SEDEX Model 85 LT Low-Temperature Evaporative Light Scattering Detector offers enhanced sensitivity using an innovative digital signal processing algorithm that minimizes noise and optimizes sensitivity. Band broadening is kept to the minimum thanks to an intelligent cell design and a wide choice of nebulizers. With UHPLC capability, the Model 85 LT provides highest efficiencies with peak widths below 1 second and analog data rate of 100Hz. Reproducibility of the SEDEX Model 85 LT is quite good with typical Relative Standard Deviation values of the signal below 2%.

Benefits

  • A choice of six nebulizers, including a specialized U-HPLC and SPF nebulizers, optimizes performance and minimize peak broadening.
  • Unique low-temperature technology for Low-Temperature evaporation of the mobile phase.
  • Complete Remote Control: the gas, heater, photomultiplier and light source can be automatically shut off at the end of a series of analyses. The remote shut down mode provides ease of use, minimizes consumable costs and increases the system’s lifetime.
  • Optimizes sensitivity of thermally labile and semi-volatile compounds.
  • Excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

The SEDEX 85 LT is compatible with most HPLC grade solvents and any gradient system can be performed with absolutely no effect on the baseline.  A broad range of volatile additives can be used with LT-ELSD:  acids (formic, acetic, trifluoracetic), bases (ammonia, triethylamine), buffers (ammonium formate, ammonium acetate, ammonium carbonate), ion-pair reagents (pentafluoropropionic acid, heptafluorobutyric acid) etc.   The detector offers a temperature range of ambient to 100 Deg C and typical sensitivities are 1 nanogram range, thus making them an excellent choice for quantitative analysis .
